Our client is a large Agricultural production company growing predominantly annual horticultural crops and sugar cane. Located in the fertile Burdekin Valley near Ayr they are blessed with a secure water supply and take pride in supplying the highest quality product to Australian & Overseas markets.
They are seeking a Farm Machinery Fabricator/ Boilermaker who is competent in the maintenance and repair of farm machinery and implements, tractors, trucks, and related equipment.
You will be responsible for carrying out all aspects of plant and machinery fabrication and repairs both scheduled and unscheduled, including maintaining equipment to manufacturer specifications.
Responsibilities will include overseeing use of consumables, fabrication, construction and repair work for machinery, implements and farm infrastructures.
The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge and experience in fabrication and maintenance, be self motivated, adaptable and have a practical and innovative approach to the workplace. Reporting to the Farm Manager you will form part form part of the maintenance division. The role calls for someone who understands the urgency of intensive production, with an emphasis on forward planning.
You must be well organised, methodical and timely. You will have the ability to work with operational staff in a highly integrated business.
Ideally you will be trade qualified with experience in boiler making, welding and fabrication a distinct advantage
